Campeche Beach

Seu Chico em seu BarCampeche beach is famous for its natural beauty. With a wide beachfront of white sand and cristal clear, emerald-colored water, it's the ideal place for those in search of peace and quiet. This may be the reason that Saint Exupéry, author of "The Little Prince", visited Campeche so often. In the ocean directly in front of our pousada, lies Campeche Island, internationally known for its archeological richness. Also, its small, Caribbean-style beach is considered one of the most beautiful of the entire region - its transparent waters attract tourists from all over the world.

Seu ChicoAnother tourist attraction for guests of Pousada Vila Tamarindo Eco Lodge is the nearby "Seu Chico's bar", owned by one of the oldest men in Campeche - who divides his time by running his bar on the beach and taking care of his cows in the neighboring pasture. And, as every good Island-dweller, you never know when he will decide to open his bar! But, if your timing is good, you can have a cold drink with your feet in the sand, and try some delicious sea-food snacks.
